Professor Hennekens will discuss simple and evidence based therapeutic lifestyle changes, many of which he has pioneered. These include avoidance and treatment of cigarettes, obesity, physical inactivity, and heavy alcohol consumption. He will also discuss adjunctive drug therapies of proven benefit many of which he has pioneered. These include statins, aspirin, angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors and blockers and beta-adrenergic blockers. These therapeutic lifestyle changes and adjunctive drug therapies will improve the quantity and quality of your life.
