"Harvard: A Cuban-American Story"

r.-faife

Reinerio Faife, who received his MA from the Harvard Graduate School of Design in 1999, is a prolific and seasoned real estate developer in Florida. He and his family emigrated from Cuba in 1980 during the Mariel Boatlift, settling in West Palm Beach. He has a great story to tell about how he “made something out of nothing, against great odds” and credits his success to his Harvard education, the Harvard experience, and his faith.

Since the turn of the century, he has been involved in real estate development. In 2008, he founded Futura Development Company and continues to remain its president. Currently his firm is developing a multi-use project in Orlando on eleven acres of Lake Nova waterfront. It involves 260 apartments and 45,000 square feet of commercial space.

The upcoming presentation will allow our members to engage in a brief dialogue about Cuba’s current state. Reinerio last visited there two years ago. He will also entertain questions on the challenges and opportunities of Florida real estate development in the today’s environment.
