Event Description - High-Speed Rail in Florida - Registration

All Aboard Florida  is building a "high speed" Rall line from Miami to Orlando. Robert Poole of MIT and founder of the Reason Foundation, and advocate of privately funded public transportation will discuss the impact of this project on the east coast of Florida.
Bob has been very active in the area of privately financed public transit infrastructure and a paper he wrote in 1988, was directly responsible for the California legislation sanctioning private tollways, a model followed by 20 other states. He served as an advisor to presidents Reagan Bush Bush and Clinton. He was the first to suggest privatization of the air traffic control system.
