Dr. Giannina Muncey
How to Survive Your Hospitalization:
Near-Death & End-of-Life Insights
That Your Doctor Wishes You Knew
Founder of Jupiter Medical Center's Department of Critical Care, Dr. Muncey is a graduate of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and Harvard Medical School, with an MGH residency in Neurosurgery and Anesthesia, and a BWH fellowship in Critical Care.
With a manner that is both empathetic and no-nonsense, she will address the following topics:
- How to react when you are hospitalized: does going to the E.R. count?
- Admitted to the ICU: what does that REALLY mean?
- The right questions to ask during serious illness: who should be on your team?
- All of us will experience the end of life: how might you start to talk about it?
An extended question-and-answer period and debriefing session will follow.
