Crocker Snow Asks:

Have We Seen the End of American Exceptionalism?

Thursday, March 7
6:00 pm Networking reception
7:00 pm Presentation

Crocker Snow, Jr., award-winning journalist, Harvard College alum, globe trotter, and witness to a half-century of history, will share his observations on the forces shaping current world events. He is now finishing his memoirs "Swamp Yankee:  Chronicling a Journalist Adventures in Low Orbit Around the World" to be published this Spring.

His talk will focus on the final two chapters — “End of American Exceptionalism?” (which traces the journey from Pax Americana to a shackled superpower) and “Boiling Frog” (which delves into whether climate change is becoming existential).

A former director of the Edward R. Murrow Center for Public Diplomacy at Tufts University's Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, where he received an MA in international affairs. He has been an editor/correspondent at The Boston Globe, Newsweek, public radio and TV and founded The WorldPaper. He has also written two books on the environment. And, oh yes, he is the coach of the Harvard Polo Team.
