About our speaker
Gail Price-Wise received her Master’s degree in Health Policy and Management from Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health in 1986 and she has spent much of her career improving communication and trust among people of different cultural backgrounds. In her work, she addresses culture very broadly to include race, ethnicity, language, religion, gender, sexual orientation, socio-economic level, physical ability, physical presentation, and other factors that divide people. She has led training workshops in cultural competence and diversity for thousands of people throughout the U.S. and in several other countries. Ms. Price-Wise is a past President of the Harvard School of Public Health Alumni Council, a past President of the Harvard Club of Broward County, a former member of the Harvard Advisory Council on Children’s Health, and a past member of the Board of the Broward Healthy Start Coalition. She has published several articles about racism and other forms of prejudice.
