About our speaker

Pia Dandiya is a proud Palm Beach County native and Harvard '09 grad (Eliot House!) She was born to parents from India and out of gratitude for the American dream her family experienced, she has committed her life to service. After college, Pia was a Teach For America corps member. At the age of 28, she became a high school principal in Harlem. She started her high school to prove how much more we could do for students living in low income households. Eighty-six percent of her students were low income and under her leadership, 100 percent earned admission to college. Then, Pia worked as a White House fellow under Democratic and Republican presidents and was later an executive at Apple leading public partnerships in education, healthcare, and state government to better serve local communities. She lives in Palm Beach County with her husband and son. Pia recently won the Democratic primary for Florida's 22nd Congressional District.
